Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA) is a leading higher education institution located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It traces its origin to 1996 with the establishment of the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER). On 17 July 2007, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, conferred the status of Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. The university operates nine major constituent schools and institutes covering Engineering and Technology (ITER), Medical Sciences and Hospital (IMS and SUM Hospital), Dental Sciences (IDS), Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS), Nursing (SUM Nursing College), Management Sciences (IBCS), Legal Studies (SNIL), Agricultural Sciences (IAS), and Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (IVSAH).
