International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) is a premier autonomous research university founded in 1998 under a Not-for-Profit Public-Private Partnership (N-PPP) model between the Government of Andhra Pradesh and industry stakeholders. Recognized as a Deemed-to-be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, IIIT-H pioneered IT-focused higher education in India by embedding research into undergraduate and postgraduate curricula from foundational stages. The institute operates across specialized interdisciplinary research centres including the Kohli Centre on Intelligent Systems (KCIS), Centre for Visual Information Technology (CVIT), Data Sciences and Analytics Center (DSAC), and the Centre for VLSI and Embedded Systems Technology (CVEST). It offers single-degree B.Tech, integrated dual-degree (B.Tech + MS by Research), M.Tech, Ph.D., and interdisciplinary research programmes spanning computer science, electronics and communication, computational natural sciences, computational linguistics, and human sciences.
