Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research (DMIHER), formerly known as Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (DMIMS), was conferred Deemed-to-be University status by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (now Ministry of Education) on May 24, 2005, under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
